At Alpha Furniture, we visit dozens of projects every month. We regularly come across folk using an old chair trolley, perhaps designed for plastic bucket chairs in a village hall.
Often the old chairs have been replaced at least once. However the strange trolley continues to be used for the heavier, padded, newer chairs. Frequently the trolley design is intended for a lower seat height. This reduces the number of chairs it can be safely used to manoeuvre, or worse leaves the chair legs dragging on the floor.
Our universal chair trolley is designed to work effectively and safely with any stack of chairs, even chairs up to 55cm wide. It then stands upright on a small footprint when not in use ensuring maximum storage space to be devoted to the chairs and tables.
The trough goes under the rear feet of the bottom chair before wheeling the whole stack away. This way the chairs are completely off the floor and not dragging.
Many old trolleys go under the seat of the bottom chair. This potentially pushes up on the screws holding the bottom seat on – a stress they don’t appreciate.
