Alpha Furniture recently supplied 320 of our JACOB lightweight, high stacking wooden chairs to St Mary’s Church, Ely.
They have undertaken a major and stunning re-ordering, making St Marys an excellent community space and setting it up for generations to come. By removing the pews, the church have created a much more flexible area, allowing not only multiple formats for worship, but more community use during the week.
Alpha Furniture were privileged to provide the seating for Holy Trinity Church, Leicester recently.
This major city centre church, a Grade II listed building, is nearing the end of a major re-ordering project.
Alpha were asked to visit and provide appropriate sample chairs for both the ground floor and the balcony. The church duly selected our SB2M lightweight high stacking chair for the ground floor main seating. Our AUD tip-up auditorium seats were selected for the large balcony area.
In 2008, Romford Baptist Church installed over 350 traditional wooden stacking church chairs in their worship area. With the ability to stack, the wooden chairs allowed for greater flexibility and regular rearranging. However, with more and more use during the week, and an increased array of formats, the chairs ultimately proved too heavy. We see it as a testament to our level of service and quality of product that the church chose to come back to Alpha again in 2021.
